What We Believe and What We Are Doing About It
We believe Christians in today's society have the opportunity and the responsibility to both live by and stand on the "high ground" of real truth, the objective truth from God as revealed in the Bible and its application in our lives through the Holy Spirit's personal, active work in our spirits and minds. With this guiding belief, the primary mission of Rising Bread Ministries is to help Christians understand the Bible and better follow Christ its author, to the extent they can apply these reliable and eternal truths in their daily lives in the way God intended. We are also dedicated to defending the proposition and presenting the evidence that the Bible is the only perfect revelation of God's truth to the human race, and that it is fully trustworthy, without error, complete, and practically relevant. We are therefore committed to helping Christians understand how these claimed attributes of the Bible actually describe it accurately. Further, it is also our goal to present the Bible as a practical, reasonable, understandable, and defensible book. In this way, Christians may better have the confidence to rely on the Bible for the information, inspiration, and spiritual direction they need for their daily lives. We also hope to help Christians demonstrate and present these truths to others in a very factual, relevant and logical manner.

To these ends, we will devote most of our time and efforts to orthodox Biblical teaching and to discussions of philosophy related to the general issue of eternal truth and purpose. We will also provide resources to help Christians recognize various lies that have wormed their way into the church, with the effect of assaulting Christians' faith in Christ and their belief and confidence in the truth of the Bible. We provide these resources of information so individual Christians can not only avoid these deceptive teachings but also be able to personally counter false doctrines and belief systems in their discussions with others. With these goals in mind, we will publish both orthodox Bible teachings and also provide critiques of false teachings that have invaded the church of Christ. We hope therefore to help Christians distrust and avoid these false leaders through better learning to first know the "real thing", and therefore better recognize the subtle methods of deception used by many modern "Bible" teachers or otherwise apparently attractive and dynamic religious leaders.

Our Ultimate Aim
Overall, it is our goal to encourage believers in Christ to spiritually "draw near" to Jesus and learn to follow Him more intimately and honestly. We want to help Christians through compelling them to a deeper personal knowledge and love for, and especially a real obedience to, God's eternal truth, which He has revealed in the Bible and through Christ's life and character. Christians can know this truth and this God for themselves, free of any wrong influence from or undue dependence on a dynamic and charismatic human leader or from the soul-numbing effects of our post-modern culture. We also hope to disseminate the truth of the Bible in such a way that it will have its unique, life-changing effects on non-Christians as well, attracting them to the only source of eternal salvation and purpose, Jesus Christ.

Rather, we presume that Christ and the Bible are the irrefutable and infallible authorities, and we subject ourselves to these authorities. We therefore leave it up to the individual person to fulfill their own responsibility to discover, understand, and obey these truths for themselves. We hope to provide a genuinely valuable service to others in this life-long quest.
